Seoul, South Korea —Big Ocean, the world’s first deaf K-pop idol group, is turning heartbreak into connection with their upcoming digital single, “Make it up to you,” arriving May 19 on all major streaming platforms worldwide.
Written as a direct message to the fans they were unable to meet following the unexpected cancellation of their Europe Tour 2026, the song transforms disappointment into something deeply personal: a promise to return. Rather than letting silence define the moment, Big Ocean chose to answer it through music — creating what may be their most heartfelt release yet.
With “Make it up to you,” the group reflects on the emotional weight of distance while embracing the hope of reunion. More than just a comeback single, the track serves as a love letter to fans across Europe and beyond — especially those who waited for a concert that never came.
That message became reality on May 17, when Big Ocean hosted a private online concert exclusively for Europe Tour 2026 ticket holders. Streamed at 3 PM CEST, the event was designed as an intimate way to reconnect with the fans left behind by the cancelled tour. During the performance, the group surprised viewers by debuting “Make it up to you” for the very first time, two days ahead of its official release. The emotional reveal sparked an overwhelming response from PADO across every connected city.
The single reunites Big Ocean with Grammy Award-winning producer Frankie Biggz, continuing the creative partnership behind their third mini album, THE GREATEST BATTLE. Blending 1970s disco-funk with modern city-pop influences, the track opens with a soft piano melody before unfolding into a vibrant live-band arrangement filled with rhythmic slap bass, syncopated guitar, and shimmering synth textures.
Members Jiseok, PJ, and Chanyeon participated directly in writing the lyrics, adding a personal layer to the song’s emotional core. Throughout the track, the group references cities they were unable to visit, weaving local-language phrases into the lyrics so fans across different countries can hear themselves reflected in the music.
“We couldn't be there in person, but we never stopped thinking about you. This song is our way of saying — we're coming back, and we'll make it up to you,” Big Ocean shared.
“Make it up to you” will be available worldwide on May 19.
