The Unadulterated Feelings Behind Ted Parks’ Song “I Could Go”

Ted Is Back

Ted is back with yet another single. Known for being signed to record label H1ghr music, artist Ted Park does it all. He’s a singer and rapper who isn’t afraid of stepping into and creating different genres of music. He doesn’t try to sound like everyone else. He puts his all into everything he releases.

This recent single “I Could Go” was released on February 16th and the concept of it was a bit different from any of his previous work. When he released the concept pictures for the new single it gave off a misspoken vibe. His pictures were of him wrapped in bandages which felt as if he wasn’t able to move on as if he was trapped. Now to dive into the single. Ted amazes everyone with how consistent he is when it comes to releasing new music. You can tell that music is something he holds dearly to him and it’s something that he is passionate about.

Letting Go

Starting with the song once you hear the beat you can instantly tell what you're about to get into. This single in particular has a different tone and beat from any of his previous work. It had more of a 2000s rock and alternative vibe to it. Lyrically he still did a substantial job of expressing himself.

Loneliness

This song felt a lot more angsty than his previous work since with the other tracks, you usually can feel a sense of deep emotions but this track was a lot more personal and specific. When you hear the beginning you can feel the loneliness that he’s expressing. He expresses it through all the hardships he went through during this isolating period in his life. “Bottle after bottle, I already know I’d throw up. Tryna escape that I’m alone. How you turn your back on me with nowhere I could go”. This song is the epitome of grief, specifically over the emptiness one feels when they undergo struggles all by themselves

Diving deeper into it he mentions how he has nowhere to go as if he has no one to count on anymore. “How you turn your back on me with nowhere I could go. So I had to go up. Yeah, I had to grow up”. In the music video, it felt like he was fighting to get out of what was a different persona. As if his demons were winning and taking over. His body wasn’t his body because he was trapped. You can see how this track said a lot without having to say much. You could instantly feel it through the beat and melodies. It's a song that sinks you in and you feel it with a heavy heart.

Opening up isn’t easy but he does it so well. With “I Could Go” you see more of a vulnerable side of Ted. The beat is more of an upbeat thriller vibe but when you hear the lyrics it speaks to you differently. Then around halfway through the song his tone changes and he hits us with a lower melody. The singing in this track was amazing, he hit every high vocal, and the transitions between the beats were done so smoothly.

I could Go

Overall, the single “I Could Go” was done with great effort and passion. Once you listen to the single you can feel a great shift in energy. The way he plays around with genres and does an impeccable job every time is quite amazing. He’s versatile with his music which is what makes him a great artist. He isn’t afraid to step out of his comfort zone when it comes to creating and making songs in different genres.
